Hall pierson, located 2nd from right was my great grandfather, samuel pierson, being the son of hall pierson and cecil pierson being the son of sam pierson and i cindy pierson being the daughter of cecil pierson. i have the same photo
I have an ancestor named Dorcus Rose that married James Henry Clair. The only thing I know about them is that they had a daughter, Virginia Organ Clair, b. 10 May 1854, Ky., m. James Solomon Shuff 12 April 1875. He was born 17 July 1852 in Lawrence Co., OH. She died 27 Apr. 1928 in Lincoln Co., W.Va. He died 14 July 1921 in Logan Co., W.Va. Virginia also had a brother named John Clair. Most of my ancestors lived in Scott County and moved to West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio after the Civil War.
