I am enjoying your photograph of Benjamin Craton Hill. He is my Great Grandfather. He is buried at Cox Chapel Church cemetary on Cox Chapel Road in the Mabe/Rye Cove area of Scott County. I took a picture of his grave/headstone a while back. I am just now learning about the geneology of our family. I suppose we are cousins. It is all so interesting. I would appreciate any information you could give on the family. thanks!!!

Thank you for the post of Ben Hill’s headstone. I wonder if Ben Hill and his family lived nearby? I have that his wife Lucy was buried at the Shepherd Cemetary. I thought it was off the Mabe-Stanleytown Road, but I couldn’t find it. Your grandmother and my g-grandmother were sisters. It’s so nice to connect with a cousin – second cousins once removed?
