Sue writes,

I would love to know if anyone can identify the three other men in the picture with my gggrandfather Thomas HEAD (on the left, holding the white pole). I suspect they might be ALLENS or LANES but no clue really. Thanks again, Sue

I have a bond on Hiram Hall and a Elbert Head was on the bond with Hiram Hall. when was this photo taken? would like to find more on my Hall side.
The Head family had to be around the Head family because Elbert Head
would not be on the bond.

    Lucinda,

Is your Hiram Hall related to John A. Hall that lived in TN and Scott County?
He was a business partner of Grimes Neal who died in Scott County in 1839. Grimes was an Uncle to mine an Sue’s gggg grandmother Esther Jane Neal Allen who’s grand daughter it was that married this Thomas Head. John and Esther also had a grandson Samuel (brother to Sue’s Esther Jane Allen Head) that married Corsenia Large who was the grand daughter of Neri Williams and Matilda Head.
These families must have been together for a while as they all lived in the same area and married back and forth.

    Shelia,

Hiram Hall married Sarah F. Jones. I think Alfred Hall was his father. Have not been able to prove much on the Hall side at all. But the Hall is in Scott Co. Va in 1880 for sure. They did live in Tn in the 1870. But Im having a hard time with the Hall side. Would likd to find out more. Elbert Head was on Hiram Hall bond to Sarah F. Jones. But I would say both the Head and Hall knew each other because of the bond.and they both was in the 1880 cen. in Scott Co. Va.
That is how I found Hiram Hall in the Cen.

    Shelia,

Did you look at the photos I have. Who are right above
your photo? In the second one I think the man in the hat
looks a lot like the man in my photo with all the family with the man and woman setting down. What do you think?

Lucinda, Hi, I have no Idea when this photo was taken. I know that by the time Thomas Head and Family moved to Ky he was listed as a farmer around 1900, so I am going to assume that this Photo was probably taken in Va before that time period. Between 1880 and 1900 maybe. I have seen the name Elbert Head but have no idea who he belongs to. Sorry I could not help more. Sue

I dont know if it can be made better but I did try different things in the past with it and this is the best I came up with. This is a copy of the original and I have had it for years. So by all means if you can get a better copy out of it it would be welcome. I have a two actual photos of his stone but thank you for the offer. I also have one of the three of the girls with their husbands when they were younger if you would like copies of that also.
