Regarding Owen Allen being the great grandson of Grimes Neal and Elizabeth Bond.. that is now known to be incorrect. Owen’s grandmother Esther Jane Neal was a sister to Hezekiah P. Neal (proven by a couple of court records) but Hezekiah was only an executor for Grimes’ will, not named as a child. It is looking more like Hezekiah (and Esther Jane, Owen’s grandmother) were nephew and niece of Grimes by most likely his brother Colvin/Calvin Neal. I have a copy of Grimes Neal’s will if anyone would like to see for themselves that Esther was not his daughter.

Jefferson Williams and his brother James George Washington Williams married sisters Nancy and Mary Campbell. The brothers were Confederate veterans of the 64th VA infantry. Jefferson and another brother , Nathaniel , were captured and spent the remainder of the war at the notorious Camp Douglas in Chicago. The 3 brothers settled in KY after the war. James and Nathaniel later moved to OK and spent the remainder of their lives there.
