Some of my family that are buried at the old flat rock cemetery Rockcastle,Co. Ky are John C Childress my GG Garndfather and his wife Sarah J Lovell Childress. Johns brother Elijha died at Camp Duglas, Ill. in 1862. They wer both born at Surry,Co. NC. The parents of John C Childress was William A Childress and Mary (polly) Campbell. They both died in Scott, Co. Va. They lived at Pattonsville, Va. Other family members lived at Blackwater Va . d . philcdress47@yahoo.com
