James W. Reed is the son of Thomas Franklin Reed and Amelia Reed. He has ten siblings. They include John (1867), Virginia (1864), Alice (1866), Martha Catherine “Kate” (1870), Thomas Franklin “Frank” (1876), Holloway Henry, Nannie, Rufus, Sallie (1883), and Robert (1885). I believe that John is the only one not born in Scott County, VA. I believe that he was born in TN.
According to the information that I have, James W. Reed, the son of Thomas Franklin Reed, was married to Hester Cordelia McClellan b 1874. Daughter of Mary “Polly” McConnell and Samuel McClellan. They had a son, James Reed Jr. in 1901 but I don’t know who he married.
