The photo of James Baxter Pierson who was my great grandfather does not look like the one my family has which is a 11×14. There were four of these brothers and six sisters. I have photos of three but not the brother who went to Oklahoma. I have the family back to James David Pierson who came over from Kent Co Ireland. Email me if you wish. ejpw@charter.net
added to above comment, It was James Patrick Pierson who came from Ireland, James David was his son. Sorry about the name. Can anyone go further into Ireland on James Patrick. email me if you have more information.

I found a James D. Pierson through Ancestry.com as the father of James Patrick Pierson – I’m looking for information on Alexander Pierson born 1814 and died 1899, then Alexander 1855-1915, then Robert L. 1871-1968 then Elbert Chesley 1890 to 1961. Elbert Chesley was my Grandmother’s (Margert Hazel Pierson Christian) father. I’m looking for photos and rev. sources and what boat the 1st immigrant came on. I went one time to my great grandmother’s home place Sara Neil (Elbert Chesley’s wife) we had to walk a cross a swinging bridge. Please – help me – my father Jimmie I. Christian was in the Air Force – we traveled a lot and it is very important for me to know my roots and where I came from. My e-mail is tracytrichell@yahoo.com. Thank-you!
I am looking for information about Dalzie and Alice Pierson Morgan. She died in 1956. Her sons James and Ralph came to live with us (Roy Morgan in TN) when I was little. I was told they owned a large farm in the Big Cut Community, VA according to her obit. I have alot of information on ancestry about the Pierson family. But, I can’t seemed to find any information about my ggrandfather Dalzie Fate Morgan or where he is buried. If you have any information you can email me at bkayw@charter.net. Thanks, looking forward to hear from someone.
I found a family page on ancestry that says his parents were David and Louzanna Dodson. but they have him married to a mary Keaton.
but they have him born in TN and he is on the census with David Morgan in Hancock co. Tn in 1900. but on his draft card it does give his right birth date as the one you have. it does not name his wife tho. it does say he died unknown date in Washington co. Abingdon Va.
If this is true you can look up the address for the local library there in abingdon Va and ask if they have an obit for him.
hopes this helps some,
Sue
Thank you for responding to my request, however, I found the information on Aug. 27, 2010 when I located and visited his burial site. They are buried in the Barnett Cemetery in Duffield, VA, in the Sloan Town Community on Big Ridge Rd. There are no head stones for either one of them, but, this was confirmed by a family member who purchased the Pierson Property where they lived. He showed us the buriel sites and shared some stories with us.
Mary Keaton was Dalzie’s first wife and my grandfathers (Willie, son of Dalzie) mother. They had 8 children. They divorce around 1930 and Dalzie moved to Virginia. There he met Alice Pierson and married her, not sure the date still searching. Alice died in 1956 and Dalzie must have died around 1959 because that was the time that his two sons James and Ralph Morgan came to live with us. I have photos of them that are dated 1959 at our home at that time. Ralph and James were my dads (Roy, son of Willie) uncles.
I have also located David and Luzana’s burial sites as well in Foley Cemetery on HWY 33 in Hancock Co. TN. They have tombstones. They lived in Hancock Co. TN as well, but his dad Preston Morgan lived in Claiborne Co. TN. Still searching for his death and burial. It was after 1891 cause he is listed as a voter in Claiborne at that time.
Again thanks
Bea
