If anyone has any information on Dora Lane Pierson’s family I would love to hear from you, I think Dora was a half sister to my great grandfather David “Dave” Lane, he may have been nicknamed Doug. His mother was Elizabeth Bledsoe, also known as Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Powers Head, her maiden name may have been McCracken, her mother’s name was Louise Ann MCCracken also known as Bledsoe, Lizzie died in West Va in 1954. She married Samuel “Black Sam” Lane in 1889, My great grandfather was born in 1879
some souces say he was born 1888. He took the Lane name when his mother married Sam Lane, his death certificate says father unknown. I am searching for what our last name really is. My Dad was Rev.
