Julia Queen Franklin was the daughter of James C. Franklin(5/31/1819-4/17/1893) & Margaret Ann “Peggy” Quillen. Julie Queen was born in Scott Co 7/4/1849 & died in Dingus, Morgan Co,KY. She was the daughter of David Jessee Alley (12/22/1831-5/10/1921) & Mary “Polly” Williams(7/5/1834-6/19/1912). According to my dad, Orban Fleetwood, Sarah didn’t want Mattie raised with her new family of all boys, so she was raised by her grandparents–David Jessee & Mary “Polly” Alley (nee Williams). I recognize this picture. The original hung in my grandmother’s house in rural Scott Co. in a large wooden frame. (Rena France Templeton, who was married to Orban Clarence Templeton)
