Charles Flanary was the son of Travis Horton Flanary and Sarah Eveline Suttle. Charles died in 1913 and Cornelia then married Zachariah M. Cecil. She was his second wife.

Robert Guy is my grandfather, he died in 1947, I believe. My father was just a child when he died. His name is Richard Maurice and mine is Charles Michael. My dad is one of eight children with four still living.

what a great picture my favorite uncle and cousin are our legacy keepers! Cornelia Orr Flanary was my mom’s namesake (Cornelia Ann Flanary),her grandmother. Cornelia Orr died the day I was born 8-16-1949 and I was told by my mother often how she loved visiting her grandmother.Michael Henderson email jhenderson355@yahoo.com

Robert Guy was my great grandfather. His son James Thomas Flanary was my grandfather. My father is the youngest of J.T.’s three children, his name is William Todd. Robert Guy died September 25, 1946 at the age of 54. James Thomas died February 21, 1992 at the age of 57. Both are buried at Hankins Cemetary in Richlands,Virginia. My daughter Ragan Manepocyn Flanary is the great-great grandaughter of Robert Guy Flanary.

Jack Cecil Flanary’s actual name is Zack C. Flanary and he is buried in the Cecil-Fry cemetary. He was married to Golden Flanary who may have possibly been his cousin according to census data in Lee County.

nevermind, he married Bertha Golden Russell. The census report on her in 1900 listed her under her married name.

Zachary, your dad is Todd , my first cousin, your grandad Tommy Flanary was a great man and always gave to his community in some many ways- just like his father. I am Michael Henderson (son of Cornelia Ann Flanary born 1-18-1925 and died 5-20-2005 , Tommy’s older sister)
