This beautiful woman is my mother, Gladys Ann Bishop. She was born in 1926. in Osaka. I am her daughter Janeann Lane Fessler. She lived in Scott county until the 1950’s when she married my step dad Wilfred and moved to Illinois. Her parents were Redwine Bishop and Stella Frazier. In our family tree we have Bledsoles, Rhotons, Lanes and many others from Scott county. She had auburn hair and blue eyes. She died in 1980 in March on Friday the 13th of a heart attack at age 54. Could I beg for the original since I do not have this picture because of a fire that took my photo albums. if not, could you email me a high quality jpeg file?

    Hi Janeann,

Wow, how wonderful for you to find this! She was indeed a beautiful woman. I will find the original jpg that was sent to me, though I doubt the quality is much more than what you see here. I will try and contact the contributor also.

Welcome! I have Lanes and Rhotons in my extended family, we are surely cousins of some kind.

    I’ll be in touch.
