Don’t worry, you’re in the right place!
Just wanted to spruce the place up a bit and get myself geared up to start adding some new photos. I’ve been neglecting this place for a long time, but life has a way of making other plans for you.
One of the things that has been keeping me pretty busy is our newest Scott County descendant…. My grand-daughter Madison. She was born on June 6th and is a perfect little angel.

So look for new posts in the coming weeks and let me know if you have any problems with the new site layout.
All my best, Pat
P.S. I’ve added a donate button to the sidebar on the left. Any contributions would be greatly appreciated!

I want to apologize, to all the great folks who come here to visit, about the comment spam that has been sneaking through my spam filters.
This site has been online since September of 2006 and since then my spam program, called Akismet, has kept almost 6,800 various spam comments from reaching the site, but the spammers, especially the porn spammers, are always trying to find new ways to sneak through. This morning I am receiving about 2 new ones every minute… whew! Hopefully the software will continue to do its job and keep most of it out of your view. I will do my best to remove any that do get through as soon as I can.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and a bright New Year!
Pat

Well, it’s been a little while since I’ve had time to sit down to this again. I just checked my email for the first time since before Christmas and found 26 new messages containing photos! Wow!
It is so wonderful to see all these old photos, and I will start posting them again shortly. In the meantime I hope you have all been enjoying all the great photos that are already here. I still have hundreds more to post.
However you celebrate, I hope yo had a great holiday season!
~Pat

We are gathering quite a formidible collection of photographs thanks to your generosity. Every bit of information makes this collection evern more valuable. Here is a little tidbit I saw in the Ancestry Daily News:
Scrapbookers know the value of “journaling” the story behind a photograph. Choose a photograph from your collection and write down everything you know about it. Include the five W’s in questions like Who is in the photograph? When was it taken? Where was it taken? What was happening? What feelings does it evoke? Why is it significant and important to your family history? A picture’s worth a thousand words, but a picture with the story behind it is priceless!
