Victoria Allen Death Certificate
Victoria was the daughter of Elbert Franklin Allen and Lucy Ann Cowden. Elbert was the son of Samuel Nathaniel Allen and Elizabeth Greear/Greer. According to a grandson of Elbert, Victoria was married to a Bryant Hicks. I don’t know why her brother filled out her death certificate as Allen and no mention of the husband…. unless it had something to do with her dying of an ” accidental gunshot wound ” ??? She was buried at Fort Blackmore. Her Great Grandfather John Allen owned land there when he died. Part of his land is where the present day ” Mann’s Produce Market” is located.
