Eli was the son of John BARNETT and Elizabeth A. JOHNSTON / JOHNSON of Scott Co. He was born in 1861 and died in 1921. His wife Phoebe was born in 1862 and died in 1946, she was the daughter of Fanteroy L. MALICOAT and Susan WRIGHT of Madison Co., KY. and the sister of Fanteroy M. MALICOAT.
