John was the son of James Baxter PIERSON and Sarah Elizabeth Barnett, and the brother of Amanda PIERSON. He was born 12 Aug 1865 Scott Co., VA and died 8 Jan 1944 in Scott Co., VA. John married Sarah WILLIAMS. See their marriage license.
When this was originally posted we don’t know the relationship between these folks. Because of the comments left by our readers we know that Amanda was John’s son and Paul was his grandson. Thank you Geneva!

Amanda is John’s daughter and Paul is her son. I got this information from Geneieve Presley who is the daughter of Amanda Day. If you have any more questions you may email me with them. It was a really nice surprise to see that picture.
